The Daily Graphic urges aspirants, delegates and members of the New Patriotic Party, NPP, to see today's primaries as a family affair to ensure peace. The paper expects that after the primaries, the rank and file of the party will quickly heal their wounds, go back to work with a united front that will advance its forward match as well as that of the country. It says, any effort at attaining victory for the NPP in the 2016 elections will be a mirage if it fails to maintain a united front and give genuine unity a chance to prevail within the party.  The Graphic wishes the New Patriotic Party (NPP) a successful conduct of the primaries and urge the victors to celebrate in moderation while the losers accept defeat in good faith.
     
The Ghanaian Times applauds efforts of the four African countries demonstrated towards the fight against the insurgents in Nigeria. The paper believes Chad, Cameroon, Niger and Benin made the tackling of the Islamic militants a priority and have encouraged President Buhari to make it a campaign pledge to crush the insurgents whose acts have led to the death of thousands in Nigeria. The Ghanaian Times encourages other states in the Sub-region to join the initiative in order to strengthen efforts to crush the terrorist and prevent them from spreading their tentacles beyond Nigeria.
