UN to support victims of June 3 flood and fire disasters in Accra The UN Development Programme is to support victims of the June 3 flood and fire disasters in Accra. Its Resident Co-ordinator in Ghana, Christine Evans-Klock, says the UN will work closely with its local partners to provide the necessary support in efforts at responding to the tragedy. She made the pledge when she went round with the Deputy NADMO Coordinator, Ebenezer Dosoo, on a fact finding mission to witness at firsthand information on the extent of damage caused by the floods, as well as the fire at the Goil fuel station at the Kwame Nkrumah Circle in Accra. The visit was also to help address the underlying causes of the perennial flooding in the city and what steps to take to avoid such occurrences. GRAPHIC
