GMA calls for collaboration between NADMO in cases of disasters

The Ghana Medical Association, GMA has called for collaboration between NADMO and the association during disasters like that of last Wednesday.

The President of the association, Dr. Kwabena Opoku Adusei, said some lives could have been saved at the scene of the incident if medical doctors were involved in the rescue operations.

He told Radio Ghana that, there is the possibility that some victims were sent to the morgue without professionally ascertaining whether they were alive or dead.

Dr. Opoku Adusei proposed that, a body be set up to educate Ghanaians on general first aid to help save lives during disasters.
