National Security closes down filling station for fuel leakage The TOTAL fuel station at the Community one Market in Tema has been closed down. This follows intelligence gathered by operatives of the National Security Council that there is a major leakage on one of its main pumps which could easily cause an explosion. The station Manager, Peter Kuwornu who confirmed the leakage, said efforts are being made to correct the problem. Although the management of the station claimed they had closed it down after detecting the fault, vehicles had formed queues to buy fuel. The operation was prompted by the recent explosion at the Goil filling station at the Kwame Nkrumah Circle in Accra which claimed more than 150 lives. GRAPHIC
