Day 5: Accra floods, fire disaster and its aftermath

Five days after the flood and fire disaster that hit the Kwame Nkrumah Circle and Odawna, victims are still trying to salvage properties and wares.

A visit by Radio Ghana to the area to assess how the people are coping showed that most of the victims were washing their clothes and cleaning up their rooms and shops.

Doors of vehicles packed at fitting shops were also opened to allow in some sunshine to dry them up. Pockets of refuse were also piled up along the shoulders of roads around the area.
