Stop Accusations On Accra Floods – Council of State The Council of State has appealed to the public to stop the blame game as to who is responsible for Wednesday’s devastating floods in Accra. A statement signed by the Public Affairs Director of the Council, Jemima Asare cautions the public against accusatory and divisive actions and language that will compound the already difficult situation. It says in these heart rending moments of unimaginable pain and distress, the Council expresses its deepest condolences to the bereaved families, the families of those who still remain unaccounted for and other victims who have suffered loss of property and remain traumatised by the unfortunate development. The Council further commended the security agencies and the National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO), health officials and ordinary citizens whose interventions helped to limit the scale of destruction to lives and property. The Council also lends its support for the three day national mourning declared by the President which commences today. GBC
