Junior Doctors On Strike Over Unpaid Salaries

Junior doctors on Tuesday began an indefinite strike at Komfo Anokye Hospital in Kumasi and the Cape Coast hospital, demanding payment for their nine-month salary arrears.

They complained that efforts to get government to pay the arrears have been unsuccessful.

Meanwhile, reports reaching Radio Ghana indicate that Government has issued a cheque to pay all arrears so it is likely the strike will be off by Thursday.
