Accra: Drivers On Strike

Commuters in Accra and Tema were left stranded following a demonstration by commercial vehicle Drivers to back their demands for the driver and vehicle licensing authority to stand down a number of directives. Ashaiman is one of the places that was hardest hit by the demonstration. The GPRTU Welfare officer at the Neoplan Station in Accra John Awuah told GBC24 that the drivers have a difficulty accepting some aspects of the DVLA's road traffic regulations.
