JUSAG asks all members to resume work today

The country's courts and tribunals are expected to resume normal operations today after a two day strike by members of the Judicial Service Staff Association of Ghana, JUSSAG over unpaid allowances.  

During the strike, lawyers and their clients as well as judges were left stranded as most court rooms were locked. 

But following a meeting with the Minister of Employment and Labour Relations, Haruna Iddrisu, the Association has decided to call off its strike. 

Speaking to Radio Ghana, the President of JUSSAG, Alex Nartey, said their checks with the Bank of Ghana, Ministry of Finance, and Controller and Accountant General's Department revealed that their concerns over unpaid allowances have been addressed.  

He directed all JUSSAG members to resume work today.
