NPP Presidential candidate asks Togolese leader to “strengthen ties” with Ghana



Presidential candidate of the  NPP Nana Akufo-Addo has called on Togolese leader Faure Gnassingbe to “strengthen ties” with Ghana.  

Nana Addo said the decisive nature of his victory, which has subsequently been confirmed by the Constitutional Court of Togo, reinforces the hopes and beliefs of the Togolese people that the path to democracy is the surest way of achieving development, prosperity and progress for their country.
 
This was contained in a statement  to congratulate President Faure Gnassingbé on his re-election.

He also urged  President Gnassingbé  to  use his high offices to hasten the process of regional integration.

AKUFO-ADDO CONGRATULATES PRESIDENT FAURE GNASSINGBÉ

This is to extend warm congratulations to His Excellency President Faure Gnassingbé on his re-election as President of the Republic of Togo. 

The decisive nature of his victory, which has subsequently been confirmed by the Constitutional Court of Togo, reinforces the hopes and beliefs of the Togolese people that the path of democracy is the surest way of achieving development, prosperity and progress for their country. 

I wish President Faure Gnassingbe well, and respectfully urge him to strengthen further the ties that exist between our two nations, as well as use his high office to hasten the process of regional integration.
