Alfred Okoe Vanderpuije wins best Mayor in Africa

The Chief Executive of the AMA, Alfred Okoe Vanderpuije has been adjudged the best Mayor in Africa winning the inaugural edition of the converted President Jose Eduardo Dos Santos African Mayor Award.  

The event which took place in the Angolan Capital, Luanda, saw Accra emerging winner in the large cities category beating Cape Town of South Africa and Dakar, Senegal.  

The Awards form part of the second Africa Urban Infrastructure investment Forum.  

The Awards also come with a trophy, a certificate and a cash prize of two thousand dollars.
