The Daily Graphic congratulates the Accra metropolitan Chief executive, Alfred Okoe Vanderpuije on winning the President Jose Eduardo Santos mayors Award held in Angola. While the Paper sees this as a huge achievement, it stresses that the award instead of massaging the ego of the Mayor, should urge him on to affect the inhabitants of the Accra metropolis such as sanitation otherwise the award will be seen as a fluke or a public relations gimmick.

The Ghanaian Times is worried about the irresponsible attitude of some men who go around impregnating teenage girls in first cycle schools. The Paper is of the strongest conviction that if nothing is done the recorded cases will continue to escalate. The Paper calls on the authorities and other stakeholders to act swiftly and intensify measures to protect girls from men who prey on their innocence by bringing every culprit to face the law.
