NDC congratulates all Ghanaian workers on the occasion of May Day. 

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has extended its warmest greetings and, congratulation to all Ghanaian workers on the occasion of May Day. 

In a solidarity message to the workers of Ghana, the NDC says “indeed as Ghana joins the world to celebrate your hard work, the NDC wishes to place on record the recognition of your relentless efforts and sacrifices towards increased productivity and growth of the economy, even in the midst of socio - economic challenges currently confronting the nation”

This was contained in a statement issued in Accra and signed by Mr. Johnson Asiedu Nketiah General Secretary, of the NDC.

The statement said “as Ghanaian workers you deserve commendation and praise for your devotion to duty, tolerance, loyalty and commitment to promoting conducive labour environment that has culminated in the current peaceful atmosphere for nation - building. “

According to the statement, the NDC government is also encouraged by organized labour’ s commitment to rules governing the labour terrain and this has motivated the party to consolidate its relations and recognition for the Trades Union and affiliate labour institutions . 

It says the NDC wishes to reiterate that the party shall continue to promote policies that have the potential to enhance and uphold the rights of workers, and would not relent on our resolve to see the qualitative improvement of all workers, irrespective of religion, colour, tribe and political orientation. 

“On this special day we call on workers to rally behind the government as the nation strive for a better Ghana . The NDC salute workers in Ghana and all over the world today for their sacrifices towards government’s efforts to build a better Ghana.”
