Ho: Police assures of adequate security The Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Alhassan has paid a day's working visit to Ho, in response to the growing public outcry over the security situation in the municipality. This comes in the wake of the spate of armed robberies which have plagued Ho in recent times. Mr Alhassan toured some of the new townships, including Goshen City, Area 52 and the Voradep Village and also inspected the eight 'tent Cities' which are police patrol duty posts. He earlier called on the Deputy Volta Regional Minister, Francis Ganyaglo, emphasised the need for greater policing in the municipality. Mr. Ganyaglo suggested the establishment of more police posts in the regional capital, as the facilities at the Central Police Stations, Regional Police Headquarters and the Police Training School are no longer adequate to address all the security concerns of the people. He assured the IGP that the Regional Co-ordinating Council is ready to provide basic logistics to enable the police to protect the people. Responding, Mr Alhassan said the police have already initiated some strategic programmes and detailed additional personnel to beef up security in the municipality. GBC
