Ghanaians asked to be careful with fires 

The Reconstructive Plastic Surgery and Burns Centre of Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital recorded about 360 cases of burns last year through LPG explosions.

Speaking to Radio Ghana, the Director of the Center, Dr Opoku Ware Ampomah said treatment for burns cost more than 20 thousand Ghana cedis per person.

He asked people to be careful with fires since no amount of plastic surgery can restore one's original look.

Dr Ampomah called for the reinforcement of safety culture to lessen the rate of burns.
