Parliament Expunges Controversial Cohabitation Provisions From Spouses’ Bill Parliament's legal and constitutional committee has expunged the controversial cohabitation provisions from the property rights of the spouses’ bill. This in the view of the committee is to discourage unmarried couples from living together. But, the Minister of Gender, Children and Social protection, Nana Oye Lithur told Radio Ghana that the expunging the cohabitation provision will in no way affect women who often suffer when their husbands die without a will. She noted that there is still a law that protects the rights of women in marriages. GBC
