22nd December, 2014 The Daily Graphic discusses the swearing in of Dr Kwabena Donkor and the President’s charge on him to act quickly to end the dumsor-dumsor situation currently facing the country. The paper says the charge by the President could not have come at a better time when the power situation has led to despondency, especially for industry and the general populace. Although the paper thinks that the present challenge poses a major challenge to Dr Donkor, it wants to believe that the President appointed him because of Dr Donkor’s, demonstrated ability in that area. It says the whole nation expects nothing less than success from him. The Daily Graphic therefore welcomes Dr Donkor to the saddle and wishes him success in this national endeavour. The Today Newspaper is of the view that more education on forced marriages should be intensified. The paper says Ghanaians should strictly adhere to the marriage age which is eighteen years. In the same van, the law should deal with any person found culpable of flouting the law to serve as deterrent to others.
