300 more megawatts of electricity added to National Grid Ghanaians will heave a sigh of relieve in the power sector following the addition of 300 more megawatts of electricity. Currently, the power sector is in crisis with power generating companies shedding between 300 - 500 megawatts of electricity. A Communication Specialist at the Ministry of Energy, Edward Bawa admits that additional power will not solve the energy crisis but will minimise it. This means by next week E.C.G should relax the load shedding timetable. He said there are plans to commission the Ghana Gas by the close of the year. GBC
