Alan Kyerematen affirms support for NPP flagbearer Nana Akufo-Addo One of the three personalities who contested the just ended NPP Presidential Primaries, Alan Kyerematen has visited the winner, Nana Akufo-Addo at his residence to officially congratulate him. He assured Nana Akufo-Addo of his support and that of his campaign team in order for the Party to win power in 2016. Mr Kyerematen said he accepts defeat and acknowledges the fact that the interest of the Party is greater than individual desires. Nana Addo said NPP supporters and Ghanaians particularly are expecting more from the Party, now that a flagbearer has been elected. He is optimistic that his team and that of Mr Kyerematen will work together without problems. Meanwhile, Mr Kyerematen has denied allegations that he abandoned the NPP campaign team during the 2012 elections. He said he has worked closely with Nana Addo since 2008 and will continue to do so during the electioneering campaign for the 2016 elections. He said he was not seen during the 2012 campaign period because he was on an international assignment with the UN. He added that he avails himself anytime he is in Ghana. Though he has already lost three times to Nana Addo, Mr Kyerematen thinks his political career is not over. GBC
