NDC Settles Constituency Elections Challenges Out of Court

The  General Secretary of the  NDC, Johnson Asiedu Nketsia says the National Democratic Congress, NDC has succeeded in settling  almost all the  legal challenges to the  Constituency elections out  of  court.  

He said with the exception of  Ningo-Prampram all the  petitions  in Greater Accra have so far been settled for the  outstanding elections to be  held next week. 

Mr Asiedu- Nketiah was speaking  to  newsmen at the Airport last night  before leaving for the  UK at the  Head of an NDC delegation  to  a conference  being  organised by the Labour Party.

He said Vetting  Committees will be  dispatched to the regions  as soon as the Constituency  Conferences are  completed. 

They will vet aspirants for the  Regional elections  and  subsequently the national.  

At  the  Conference in the UK Mr. Nketsiah will participate in  a panel discussion  involving  leaders from  five Regions including Africa, Latin America, Europe, Asia.  

From the  UK, Mr. Nketsia  will proceed to China  for  other  assignments relating
to the  Bui Dam.  

He  will be  away  for  eight  days.  

In his absence, Deputy General Secretary, George Lawson  will be acting.
