Bawku residents urged to return guns for cash There is relative calm in Bawku as the Ministry of the Interior and the Regional Security Council are working to ensure lasting peace between the Mamprusis and Kusasis. According the Minister, Mark Woyongo, his recent visit to assess the situation on the ground was successful. He said the two ethnic groups have welcomed a road map to help resolve the conflict. Speaking to Radio Ghana, Mr Woyongo said their next action is to give incentives to people to hand over their weapons. The Municipal Chief Executive for Bawku, Issahaku Bukari said the municipality will ensure that the perpetuators are brought to book. GBC
