Market women embark on massive cleanup to rid Accra of filth

All markets in the Accra Metropolis are expected to suspend daily activities today from 6am to 12 noon. 

This is to allow the AMA in collaboration with the market women to desilt drains, clear choked gutters and clean the environment. 

Some of the areas to be cleaned are Makola Shopping Mall, Odorkor, Tema and Ashaiman Markets. 

The move is to complement government's effort to curb the spread of cholera.
