Osu People Undertake Homowo Health Walk Nii Okwei Kinka Dowuona VI, Paramount Chief of Osu Traditional Area on Friday led his people in a health walk as part of this year’s Homowo festivities. The three-hour walk, on the theme: “Your Health Our Concern” started from Osu Kinkawe through the Royal Mausoleum to Penta hotel on the Oxford Street, then to Osu Five -Junction and back to the Chief’s Palace. Nii Kinka Dowuona later in an interview with the Ghana News Agency said, it is worthy to be healthy and urged his people to undertake regular physical exercises and also take health screening seriously. He said the Osu Traditional Council has arranged with health personnel from the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital for a free health screening and treatment at Osu, and that, he would launch a cholera awareness campaign soon. Other activities would be a clean-up exercise, Osu citizens home-coming Homowo jam, street carnivals and the sprinkling of Kpokpoi, the traditional meal on Tuesday, August 26.
