Fire Service educates public on periodic simulation exercises Corporate organisations under the auspices of the Ghana National Fire Service, GNFS periodically conduct simulation exercises to check their readiness to respond to fire outbreaks. But this phenomenon does not seem to have caught up well with Ghanaians, especially the media when it comes to reportage. The Greater Accra Regional P.R.O of the fire service, James Kwarteng tells Radio Ghana what simulation exercises entail and why they are conducted. Mr. Kwarteng noted that the service recorded 3,305 fire incidents between January and June nationwide last year, compared to 2,500 cases the same period this year. He attributed the reduction to continuous education and daily market patrols. GBC
