Osu Traditional Council cautions Government against alleged interference in this year's Homowo

Stool heads at the Osu Traditional Council have called on government not to interfere in this year's Homowo celebration.

At a press conference in Accra to highlight some of the challenges that arises during Homowo, a claimant to the Osu stool, Nii Nortey Owuo in a speech read for him said, government's decision to politically support Nii Kinka Dowuona as the legitimate Osu Mantse distorts and deprives the people of the peace and freedom to celebrate what he called the birth right of the Osu people.

A king maker of Osu, Nii Nortey Adumuah  Osiahene, said development has eluded the people of Osu due to what he called as unnecessary litigation issues.

The Osu Homowo celebration is slated for the 26th of this month.
