Government urged to ensure tax compliance rather than introducing new taxes

The Chartered Institute of Taxation - Ghana, CITG says government should consider ways of ensuring tax compliance rather than introducing new taxes into the system. 

The President of the Institute, Mike Afflu who made the comment noted that the inability of the revenue agencies to rope in the large untaxed population is making it difficult to attain revenue targets. 

Mr Afflu was speaking at the opening of the 4th Annual Taxation Seminar in Accra.
