Bawku Divisional Police Command beefs up security following shooting incidents

Following sporadic shooting incidents in Bawku on Tuesday and wednesday morning, the Police Command in the area is setting up security check points at various places closer to communities to avert further disturbances. 

In an interview with Radio Ghana, the Bawku Divisional Police Commander, Lovelace Jefuta, said from critical analysis, it is suspected that the killings have no link to any tribal conflict in the area but are rather being carried out by some criminals. 

He however said investigations are on-going.
