Former Youth and Sports Minister says 612 supporters were airlifted to 2014 Brazil World Cup

The Former Minister of Youth and Sports, Elvis Afriyie Ankrah, says the government did not finance the airlifting of supporters to Brazil alone but did so with support from corporate bodies. 

He mentioned some ministries and other bodies who were involved in the preparation of the World Cup campaign. 

The Former Minister said this on Wednesday when he appeared before the Presidential Commission which is investigating the abysmal participation of the Black Stars at the 2014 World Cup Tournament. 

Mr Afriyie Ankrah who was answering questions before the Presidential Commission chaired by Justice Senyo Dzamefe said there were two levels of preparations involved in Ghana's appearance.
