Komenda sugar factory to reduce importation of sugar

The Komenda Sugar factory is expected to reduce importation of sugar when in full operation.

According to the Central Regional Minister, Aquinas Tawiah Quansah the factory will produce about 400 metric tons of sugar a year and provide about 1,500 direct jobs to the youth in addition to sugar cane farmers.

Mr. Quansah said that the main focus of government concerning the factory is the local market.

He said as time goes on attention and target will be the sub-region and the global economy.
