GJA President Challenged Media to Churn out Factual News but not to Spread Falsehood News on Ebola Viral Disease The GJA President, Roland Affail Monney, has challenged the media to churn out factual news but not to rush and spread falsehood in an attempt to be the first to break news on the Ebola Viral Disease. He was speaking at a meeting between the Minister of Communications, Dr. Edward Omane Boamah and the Executives of the Ghana Journalists Association and the Ghana Independent Broadcasters Association in Accra. Minister of Communications, Dr. Edward Omane Boamah said the Ministry has nothing to hide in the event of the outbreak of Ebola in the country. According to him, the Ministry is on high alert to inform the public if any case is confirmed. Dr. Omane Boamah said the Ministry is stepping up efforts to educate the public on precautions they should take to avoid the spread if the disease breaks out. Source: GBC
