Economic experts reject adoption of foreign currency to address cedi depreciation

Economic Experts have debunked the notion that the solution to the depreciation of the cedi is to adopt a foreign currency as legal tender. 

Sharing his view on the issue with Radio Ghana, a former Finance Minister and an Economist, Yaw Osafo Marfo said the focus should be on the management of the currency and addressing expenditure overruns. 

An Investment and Economic Analyst, Isaac Adongo, also indicated that merely changing the name of the currency would not perform economic miracles.
