Revealed: Government paid over $ 35,000 to four scouts

Players and Officials should be made to sign Performance Contracts – Justice Senyo Dzamefe

The Ministry of Youth and Sports on Monday appeared before the Presidential Commission of Inquiry investigating what led to the Black Stars embarrassing campaign at the 2014 FIFA World Cup. 

During the interrogation, it came out that the government paid over $ 35,000 to four scouts. 

The Chief Director of the Ministry, who briefed the commission, further said the players and officials agreed on $ 82,500 in Ghana but asked for $ 100,000 in Brazil.

At this point, the Chairman of the Commission, Justice Senyo Dzamefe suggested that in subsequent tournaments players and officials should be made to sign performance contracts to avoid the re-occurrence of such a situation.
