Central Region: Chief appeals for potable water for community The Chief and people of Gomoa Maim in the Central Region have climaxed their Annual Akwanbo with an appeal to government to complete the laying of pipes from a constructed dam to the town. According to them, lack of access to potable water is causing serious health problems to the community. The Chief of Gomoa Maim, Nana Onyanfo Ansah said the assurance by the authorities to link the town to the dam for treated water has not been realised since its construction two years ago. Nana Onyanfo Ansah said due to lack of potable water, the people suffer from water borne diseases. Nana Ansah expressed these sentiments at the commissioning of a Public Library which climaxed the Akwanbo Festival. GBC
