Ga Homowo Shooting Incident at Ashalaja near Amasaman claims one life One person died and five others got injured following a shooting incident last Saturday at Ashalaja near Amasaman during the Homowo celebration in the area. The deceased identified as Charles Kwaw MInta-Addy, was at his grandfathers house in the area when an entourage sprinkling the Ga Traditional Food, Kpokpoi, entered, and shot at him and few others. According to the Amasaman District Police Commander Supt. George Andrew Kumah five people including the former Chief of the area, Nii Solomon Obendey have been arrested. Meanwhile, one of the sons of the former chief identified only as Joshua, and believed to have acted with the consent of his father to shoot Addy is on the run with some other followers of his father.
