Nana Oye Lithur Calls For The Establishment Of Strong Institutions

The Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection, Nana Oye Lithur has called for the establishment of strong, responsive and accountable government institutions to ensure that the improved status of the vulnerable is sustained. 

This, she said, will help address the widening inequality in the country. Mrs Lithur made this remark when she launched in Accra the 2014 Human Development Report.  

She stressed that if policies and social norms that threaten human development are not changed, progress in reducing vulnerabilities and building resilience will be neither equitable nor sustainable.
