13th August, 2014 The Ghanaian Times commends President Mahama for being honest with the truth concerning the current economic challenges in the country. To the paper, only few persons will be forthright in telling the truth. According to the Times, the President admitted the challenge at the Assemblies of God's Centennial celebration in Springfield, USA. The paper is however encouraged by the steps being taken by the President in seeking the face of God in all his dealings both in local and international circles. The Daily Graphic salutes the youth of the country on the occasion of International Youth Day and wishes that the youth would reflect on the day and venture into areas that can turn the fortunes of the country around. The paper says society seems not to pay attention to the youth who hold the key to the future prospects of the country and government therefore does not appear to have a consistent national youth policy which will inculcate patriotism and volunteerism in the youth. It therefore lauds President Mahama for launching the Youth Enterprise Initiative, Yes Fund. The Graphic also calls on the youth to takes advantage of the GH¢ 10 million fund set aside as start-up capital for the youth. Let us ensure safety of domestic flights is how the General Telegraph captions its editorial. According to the paper, though air travel was once considered a hazardous mode of travelling, it has now become the preferred mode of transportation for many. The paper says far from being an occasion for disaffection and ill-will between airlines and the media, every travel safety-threatening incident should rather strengthen the resolve of airlines to ensure the safety of passengers. The Telegraph urges the Ministry of Transport and the Ghana Civil Aviation Authority to ensure that domestic air travel is safe for the public. GBC
