Alban Bagbin Assumes Office as New Majority Leader of Ghana's Parliament The MP for Nadowli Kaleo, Alban Bagbin, has assumed office as the new majority leader of Parliament. Mr. Bagbin's appointment became necessary following the reassignment of the former leader, Dr. Benjamin Kunbour as the Minister of Defence. In an exclusive interview with Radio Ghana, Mr. Bagbin stressed the need for Parliament to be fully engaged in the constitutional amendments that are taking place. He said he would be pushing for the establishment of a legal unit in Parliament to strengthen the House's scrutinising role. Mr. Bagbin also called on Ghanaians to have more confidence in leadership at all levels. He said it is only through the support and encouragement of Ghanaians that leader can live up to the billing.
