Pistorious Lawyer Speaks Against Prosecutors.

The Lawyer for South African athlete,Oscar Pistorius has accused prosecutors of twisting the facts to discredit the athlete in his murder trial. 

Barry Roux said the double amputee should have faced a charge of culpable homicide and not murder, over the shooting of his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp. 

State prosecutor Gerrie Nel, in his closing submission argued that the athlete cannot escape a murder conviction. 

Mr Pistorius however denies the prosecution's claims that he deliberately shot Ms Steenkamp. 

Oscar claims he mistook her for an intruder when he shot her through a door in his home in South Africa's capital, Pretoria last year.
