BOST Positions Itself To Become Most Efficient In Ghana’s Energy Sector The Bulk Oil Storage and Transportation Company Limited, BOST, is positioning itself to become one of the most efficient players in Ghana's energy sector. To achieve this goal, the Company has launched an ambitious project dubbed operation 24. Operation 24 is a systematic upgrading process currently ongoing within all BOST facilities nationwide. As part of operation 24, all machines within BOST facilities are being upgraded, the upgrade, which is expected to be completed by the end of the year, involves automation of all BOST facilities to reduce human involvement in all levels of operations. Flow meters are also being installed as a means of preventing product losses while high capacity pumps are also being fixed to help in faster and more efficient product delivery. These were made known to newsmen on tour of BOST facilities to Akosombo and Mamewata Tank Farms. At the Mamewata Tank Farm, the story was not different. The Manager said petroleum products sent there are transmitted to the Volta Region and parts of the Eastern and Northern Regions. At the Tema Depot which is described as the nerve centre of all BOST operations, the Manager, Shola Okumodi, said currently a state of the Art Security centre has been installed with CCTV network connected to monitor all operations to detect and minimise theft and losses. This facelift is being done in partnership with TSL logistics Ghana which is in charge of terminal operations in BOST depots throughout the country. The Corporate Communication Manager of BOST, Salifu Nat Acheampong and two assistants conducted media men round the facilities. GBC
