Christian Council Says Media Turns Airwaves into Commercialization Instead of Education 

The General Secretary of the Christian Council of Ghana Rev. Dr. Opuni Frimpong says the media have turned the airwaves into commercialization instead of education which is their mandate. 

This is because some media institutions have paved the way for what Rev. Dr. Opuni Frimpong called illiterate biblical broadcasting because of profit making. 

His comment follows GBC's 79th Anniversary Lectures in Accra.  Rev. Dr. Opuni Frimpong said it is difficult to check these culprits because they don’t belong to any Christian organisation. 

Rev. Dr. Opuni Frimpong tasked the NMC to sanction media organisations that violate the rules of the airwaves.
