Trainee nurses allowance scrapped has no relevance the allowance scrapped by the government makes no \'sense\'. what is the reason for which the allowance is being cancelled? with that of the trainee teachers, we were made to understand that the money shall be use by gov\'t to build structures and expand admissions; which we are not even sure if that has been catered for. trainee teachers again have enough time to at least work and make some money after their semister break. how about the trainee nurses? is their scrapped allowance being use to expand admission? what then is it being used for? student nurses come on every semister break, only to go and do their clinical attachments. instead off working to get some money and pay their fees, they rather waste the money on transport and other facilities they would need for their clinicals without any support from the gov\'t. what then is their money being used for? admission is not expanded; students are as well competting into the nurses colleges. what at all in this world is their money being used for? i think the govt should re-consider that decision on scrapping the nurses allowance and give them their money. i am in support of their current demonstration. the govt should attend to their aid and stop wasting money on unnecessary things like the buying of sanitary pads to be distributed to only the girls and without considering the boys.
