W/R: USAID begins grants disbursement to CSOs

The USAID/Local Governance and Decentralisation Programme, LOGODEP, has through its small grants package, disbursed more than one million dollars to twenty Civil Society Organisations, CSOs, in the Western Region.  

The CSOs are undertaking advocacy to increase the citizens' awareness and participation in the local governance system and improve the service delivery of the decentralised structures.  

The Chief Executive of LOGODEP, Peter Fricker, who presented the grant certificates to beneficiary organisations in Sekondi, said the gesture is in line with USAID's objective of strengthening democracy and decentralised governance through civic involvement.
