Cost of moving government business to Flagstaff House to be incorporated in 2013 budget The Special Committee set up by President John Dramani Mahama to oversee the phased movement of the seat of government from the Castle to the Flagstaff House has up to next month to submit its report. This will allow for cost estimates for the rehabilitation of the Flagstaff House to be incorporated into the 2013 budget. In an exclusive interview with Radio Ghana’s Seth Eyiah, a Presidential Staffer and Chairman of the Committee, Commodore Steve Obimpeh said apart from the infrastructural challenges, security is a major concern, which the committee will consider and advise the president appropriately. He said the late President Atta Mills used the Flagstaff House for a number of official duties but was advised to reside at the Castle on security grounds. GBC
