President John Mahama Arrives In Brong Ahafo 

A large crowd of supporters and party sympathisers besieged the Sunyani Airport to welcome President John Mahama as he begins his Thank You Tour of Brong Ahafo. 

Radio Ghana correspondent reports that at exactly 10 am the Presidential jet landed at the airport and the cheers went into a crescendo.

President Mahama inspected a guard of honour mounted by a detachment from the fifth batallion of infantry of the Ghana Armed Forces. 

The President is accompanied by his Wife Lordina Mahama, the Chairman of the NDC, Dr. Kwabena Adjei, General Secretary, Johnson Asiedu Nketsia, Deputy Chief of Staff, Alex Segbefia, Secretary to the President Beebako Mensah, Deputy Minister for Works and Housing, Hannah Bissiw, and Deputy Minister for  the Interior, Kobby Acheampong. 

From the Airport, President Mahama passed through the Sunyani Central Market where he interacted with traders and market women. 

He promised that the market will soon be rehabilitated. 

President Mahama will later in the day address a durbar of Chiefs and people of the Brong Ahafo Region.
