Peasant Farmers launch Manifesto in Accra The Peasant Farmers Association of Ghana has launched a 38 page Manifesto in Accra to draw attention of government and political parties to the exclusion of small scale farmers from the development agenda. A Lecturer at the University of Ghana-Legon, Professor Ramatu Alhassan, said the Manifesto will allow farmers to articulate their concerns in the 2012 elections and also demand sustainable development by ensuring food security and poverty reduction.
