Asomdwee Park closed to public The Asomdwee Park, the burial place of the late Professor John Evans Atta Mills has been closed to the public. The park was initially scheduled to be closed on the 14th of this month but members of the public were allowed to continue to pay their last respect. The park has now been closed temporarily, after the burial of President Mills. During a visit to the burial site by our correspondent, workers were busily working to put the park in shape. It is not clear if it will be reopened permanently to the public after work is completed. Efforts to speak to officials in charge of the park to know the completion date proved futile. In a related development, arrests made by the police during the funeral of the late President are before the court. According to the Divisional Crime Officer of the Ministries Police Station, DSP Alex Buabin, 14 people including an Ivorian were arrested for various crimes. DSP Buabin disclosed that some of the cases are before the courts while others are still in police custody pending prosecution. GBC
