President Mahama Gives Assurance For Completion Of All Roads Projects In Eastern Region President John Dramani Mahama has assured people of the Eastern Region of completion of ongoing road projects there. He mentioned the Suhum-Kumasi, Nsawam-Adeiso and Nsawam- Aburi roads saying work will be expedited on them. Those were the last projects inspected by late President Mills before he passed on. President Mahama who was addressing a durbar at the Jackson Park in Koforidua as part of his Thank You Tour announced that documents covering the Suhum-Kumasi road are currently in Parliament and when approved, work will start. Meanwhile, President Mahama on his way back to Accra stopped on the Accra- Suhum- Kumasi highway to inspect the project and interact with the contractor. According to the contractor 44% of the work has been completed. The Accra- Kumasi highway is a dual carriageway starting from Kwafokrom and ends at Apedwa where it reverts into a single carriageway. Compensation for people affected by the road is ready. When completed the road will form part of the International trunk road N6 in Ghana. President Mahama urged the contractor to speed up work on the project. GBC NEWS
