22nd August, 2012 Keep the flame of peace burning is how the Daily Graphic captions its editorial. The paper reminds Ghanaians of President Mahama's call to come together irrespective of their political religious or ethnic difference to propel the country's socio-economic development. The Graphic notes that President Mahama has set the tone and urges all to follow his good example. The paper therefore urges all Ghanaians particularly, political activities to exhibit decorum and civility in their electioneering toward election 2012. This, the Graphic believes will be the only way the country can avoid descending into violence come December. The paper says events of the past three weeks following the death of Professor Mills have shown that there is a sense of patriotism in Ghanaians and is on its way to overcoming her challenges of poverty, disease and illiteracy.
