Funeral Planning Committee donates excess items to charity

The late President Mills' Funeral Planning Committee has on behalf of government donated items worth thousands of Ghana cedis to the National Chief Imam, Sheikh Usman Nuhu Sharabutu and four needy Institutions in Accra.  

The items which include cows, assorted drinks, crates of eggs, flour and quantities of bottled water constitute the unused items donated by individuals and organisations towards the funeral of the late President.  

Presenting the items, a Deputy Minister of Local Government and Rural Development and a member of the Funeral Planning Committee, Elvis Afriyie Ankrah, said the gesture is in line with the late President's virtues of giving out to individuals, organisations and the needy in society.
