Monday declared public Holiday to mark Eid-ul-Fitr

The public is reminded that Sunday 19th August, 2012 which marks Eid-ul-Fitr, is a statutory Public Holiday and should be observed as such throughout the country. 

A statement issued by the Ministry of the Interior however says in view of the fact that the day falls on Sunday, Monday 20th of this month has been declared a public holiday and should be observed as such.
